A Long Beach man was sentenced Friday to nearly 25 years to life in state prison for sex-related crimes involving two young girls.
Superior Court Judge Tomson T. Ong also ordered William Edward Burch, 45, to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Burch was convicted last November of one count each of oral copulation with a child 10 years old or younger, using a minor for sex acts, child molesting and committing a lewd act on a child.
Burch sexually assaulted a 4-year-old girl in October 2011 and molested a 9-year-old girl in 2013, according to Deputy District Attorney Kelly Kelley.
He was arrested by Long Beach police in February 2013 and has remained jailed since then.
