A 51-year-old man accused of firing three shots into the ceiling of an Altadena bar was in sheriff’s custody Sunday.
According to a report in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Freddy Flores made criminal threats and negligently discharged a firearm shortly before midnight Saturday at the Altadena Ale & Winehouse at 2329 Fair Oaks Ave.
Los Angeles County sheriff‘s Lt. Randy Tuinstra told the newspaper that Flores, a semi-regular at the bar, fired three shots from a revolver and then drove from the scene.
Flores was pulled over nearby and arrested, according to Tuinstra, who told The Tribune, “He appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.”
A revolver was recovered, Tuinstra said.
Tuinstra was jailed at the sheriff’s Cerscenta Valley Station in lieu of $50,000 with a court appearance in Pasadena scheduled for Tuesday, according to sheriff’s online inmate records.
