A 46-year-old man was killed and three women suffered major injuries in a multi-vehicle collision in Castaic.
The collision occurred around 5 p.m. near the intersection of The Old Road and Hillcrest Parkway, California Highway Patrol Officer B. Ibarra said.
A southbound 2010 Mazda crossed into the northbound lanes, sideswiped a 2010 Toyota, then collided head-on with a 1991 Nissan, killing its driver, Ibarra said.
The 22-year-old woman driving the Mazda also suffered major injuries, Ibarra said. The Toyota driver suffered minor injuries.
The dead man, whose name was not released, lived in Canyon Country.
