A suspicious package that caused the evacuation of several businesses and restaurants east of the Beverly Center was an environmental testing canister, police said Wednesday.
An area of two-to-three blocks around the intersection of Third Street and Orlando Avenue was evacuated after the package was discovered around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday.
The all-clear was given just after midnight, Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. James Mankey said.
