Authorities Monday identified a 19-year-old Downey man who was found shot to death and asked anyone with information to come forward.
James Lieneke’s body was found by officers responding to a 911 call of a person shot near Woodruff and Nance avenues about 2:45 a.m. Sunday.
“It appears this was not a random act, and that the victim was targeted,” said Downey police Lt. Mark McDaniel.
The shooter remains at large, and Downey police detectives asked anyone with information to call them at (562) 904-2368.
