Pasadena police on Thursday were seeking three young men who robbed a 14-year-old girl as she walked home from school.

The crime occurred about 4:35 p.m. Tuesday at Allen Avenue and Orange Grove Boulevard, said Pasadena police Lt. Kelly Evans.

The suspects ranged in age from 17 to 20, Evans said. Two wore ski masks, and the third had a nylon stocking over his head. They took the girl’s eyeglasses and her backpack, which contained cash, an iPhone and books, Evans said.

The girl suffered a minor injury when one suspect tried and failed to steal her necklace, but she did not require medical treatment, Evans said.

The suspects fled in a four-door, compact vehicle, either black or dark blue, Evans said.

Anyone with information on the crime was urged to call detectives at (626) 744-4525.
