Three men were wounded by a man who approached them on a Hollywood sidewalk, asked for directions and started shooting at them, police said Monday.
The shooting happened in the 5600 block of Lexington Avenue about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, said Sgt. R. Payan of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Station.
Two victims were hit in the legs and one man was struck in the “lower abdomen-leg area,” he said.
One victim was transported to a hospital in a private vehicle and the other two were taken to a hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
It appeared all three victims had non life-threatening wounds, Payan said.
The suspect was described as a man in his mid 20s to early 30s who fled the scene in a vehicle, Payan said. The motive for the attack was not known.
