A woman who injured her leg while hiking Monday in Griffith Park was transported to a hospital in serious condition by paramedics, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said.
The incident began at about 10:40 a.m. near Bee Rock in Griffith Park, according to spokesman Erik Scott.
The unidentified 22-year-old woman was located about 150 feet down a steep trail near Bee Rock. Firefighters made their way to the location and transported her by ground up the trail and to a waiting ambulance which took her to the hospital around 12:30 p.m., Scott said.
Radio transmissions from the scene indicate the woman may have broken a leg.
At last report, the injured woman was in serious condition. How she injured her leg was not immediately known.
