A shooting in Norwalk sent one man to a hospital in serious condition but with stable vital signs, authorities said Tuesday.
The shooting happened at 11:30 p.m. Monday at Rosecrans Boulevard and Pontlavoy Avenue, said Lt. S. Kehoe of the Sheriff’s Norwalk Station.
“He says he was shot by unknown persons,” Kehoe said. The victim claimed he did not know whether his assailant or assailants walked up to him or drove by. He says he was transported to Norwalk Community Hospital by an unknown person.”
Deputies did not know whether the shooting was gang-related, the lieutenant said. They were unable to locate witnesses when they canvassed the area.
