A reputed gang member was charged Monday with murder in the shooting death of a 51-year-old Pomona man last month.
Donnell Parker, 22, is being held on $2 million bail. He faces one count of murder and two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
The victim, Gregory Montgomery, was gunned down about 10:30 a.m. May 8 as he stood in the front yard of his home in the 200 block of Fanshaw Avenue. Police said two men walked up to him and started shooting.
Montgomery died at the scene and the suspects ran off, according to a Pomona police sergeant.
Parker was arrested Thursday police said. No information was released about the second suspect.
Parker’s arraignment was postponed until July 1.
