A woman was killed Monday when her husband accidentally ran her down while backing his car out of a driveway in Studio City.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene around 1:15 p.m. in the 10800 block of Wrightwood Lane, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The victim was “an elderly woman,” according to police.
Detective Sgt. Greg Fuqua of the LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division told the Daily News the man “accidentally ran over his wife who was behind the vehicle in the driveway. We have sent out a crisis counseling team to the scene for the husband.”
The identity of the couple was not immediately released.
