An 18-year-old Azusa man was charged Monday with breaking into a Glendale home and sexually assaulting a woman at knifepoint.
Justine Amador Rios allegedly broke into the home June 4. When the 38- year-old woman screamed for help, her adult son woke up and stopped the attack, prosecutors said.
Rios pleaded not guilty to two counts of forcible oral copulation and one count each of sexual penetration by a foreign object and first-degree burglary, along with a knife allegation.
Bail was set at $1.32 million and Rios was ordered to return to court June 16, when a date is expected to be set for a preliminary hearing.
If convicted as charged, Rios could be sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
