One of two juvenile skateboarders struck by a hit-and-run driver in Echo Park was fighting for life in a hospital Saturday.
The 15-year-old victims were struck in an unmarked crosswalk near the intersection of Alvarado and Montrose Streets at 10:05 p.m. Friday, Los Angeles Police Sgt. Jesse Garcia said.
The first victim’s condition was “extremely critical”, Garcia said. The second victim suffered minor injuries.
The suspect vehicle was a white compact SUV, Garcia said.
