Two men were in custody Thursday after authorities seized cannabis plants with a street value of $3 million in a raid on a marijuana grow house in the City of Industry, authorities said.

The raid was carried out late in the morning and early in the afternoon of Wednesday at what Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. John Gannon described as “an otherwise nondescript local business/warehouse” in the 1300 block of Darius Court. Hydroponic equipment was used to grow the plants, he said.

Two men, David Nguyen, 32, and Phong Nguyen, 54, were arrested on suspicion of cultivation and sale of marijuana. It was not immediately determined if the suspects are related.

David Nguyen was being held in lieu of $50,000 and was due to appear in court in West Covina on July 6, according to county inmate records. Information on Phong Nguyen’s custody was not immediately available.
