The FBI and Los Angeles Police Department want your help to identify a man suspected of robbing two banks in the San Fernando Valley.

The man is suspected of robbing a Chase bank branch at 11160 Balboa Blvd., near San Fernando Mission Boulevard, July 29 and a Wells Fargo branch in Northridge Wednesday, said the FBI’s Laura Eimiller.

“The suspect enters the bank armed with a handgun. He approaches the victim teller and demands cash. He exits the bank, and following one of the robberies, he is seen getting into a white passenger van,” Eimiller said.

The suspect is described as a 40- to 50-year-old man of Armenian or Middle Eastern descent, between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall, 190-200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, she said.

The van is described as a late 1990s or early 2000s model, possibly a Ford E-150 or E-250 with tinted windows, white bumpers and possible damage to the right rear panel. It may have a passenger-side door access step.

If you have any information about the suspect, authorities want you to contact the FBI at (310) 477-6565 or the LAPD at (877) LAPD-247.
