A person was killed Sunday in a second-alarm fire and possible explosion at an apartment building in Torrance.
Firefighters dispatched at approximately 2 a.m. to the 22500 block of Ocean Avenue had the fire out 2:14 a.m., said Capt. Robert Millea of the Torrance Fire Department.
It damaged two units, one on the first and another on the second floor of the two-story structure, Millea said.
It was not immediately known where in the apartment building the body was found.
