A 24-year-old woman was shot in her right foot Sunday as she was walking with a group in the Vermont Vista neighborhood, police said.
It happened about 4:30 p.m. in the 9500 block of South Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Mike Mann said.
It’s unclear if the girl was the target, Mann said.
A description was not available of the shooting suspect, last seen heading westbound on 95th Street, Mann said.
The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
