An acting coach was convicted Wednesday of committing a lewd act on a 13-year-old girl who had taken classes from him.
Jurors, who deliberated about a day before returning their verdict against 55-year-old Cameron Thor, also found true an allegation of substantial sexual conduct.
The teen — who took private classes from Thor at his Agoura Hills home – – was driven by the defendant to the Santa Monica Mountains, where the crime occurred in March 2009, according to Deputy District Attorney Simone Shay.
Thor’s attorney could not be reached for immediate comment on the case.
Thor is facing up to eight years in state prison, with sentencing set for Oct. 9 at the Van Nuys courthouse.
