Authorities Wednesday released the name of a 35-year-old woman who was fatally stabbed in Burbank, allegedly by a man she had been dating.
Brandi Carrasco’s alleged killer, 28-year-old Timothy Andrade of Hesperia, was arrested Tuesday and booked on suspicion of murder, with bail set at $1.1 million, said Burbank Police Officer Joshua Kendrick.
Officers sent to a residence in the 1900 block of Richard Street about 10 p.m. Sunday found Carrasco dead, Kendrick said.
“Ms. Carrasco had recently been staying at the Richard Street address, and appeared to have (had) a dating relationship with Mr. Andrade,” Kendrick said.

The initial investigation led officers to arrest Brian Lowe, 49, of Burbank on Monday, Kendrick said. The body was found in Lowe’s home, but he has since been cleared of involvement in the killing, the officer said.
“We do know the three people (Carrasco, Andrade and Lowe) all knew each other, but the woman was not a resident of Burbank,” Kendrick told City News Service.
Kendrick said detectives are unsure of a motive for the attack.
Investigators arrested Andrade about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
“Andrade provided significant information to investigators to confirm he acted alone in the murder of the female,” Kendrick said. “Andrade also provided information to investigators that led them to the recovery of what is believed to be the knife used in the murder.”
