Firefighters Thursday quickly extinguished three small grass fires in the Beverly Glen area, where a man was detained for questioning.
The fires were reported shortly before 1 p.m. in the 3400 and 3500 blocks of North Beverly Glen Boulevard, near Mulholland Drive, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Investigators with the LAFD’s Arson-Counterterrorism Section were sent to the scene and were conducting interviews as part of an active investigation, Scott said.
No arrests were immediately reported, he said.
The first of the fires burned in the 3400 block, while the second two, which were larger than the first, were in the 3500 block of North Beverly Glen Boulevard, Scott said.
