A man was shot dead and another was wounded in Pacoima on Sunday and a police search is on for the shooter.
The shooting happened about noon on the street in the 13600 block of Pinney Street, Los Angeles police Sgt. Brad Miller said.
One of the unidentified victims was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, where he later died, Miller said.
A second male was shot by the same suspect and was being treated for stable injuries, the sergeant said.
No suspect description was immediately available, Miller said.
An investigation into the shooting was ongoing.
