Two men were shot and wounded on a South Los Angeles street by gunmen who remained at large Thursday morning, police said.

The shootings at the intersection of 117th and Main streets took place about 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, an officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Division reported.

“One victim was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to his left hip,” the officer said. “He suffered non-life-threatening wounds. The other victim was taken to a hospital by a private party after he was grazed on his arm by a bullet.”

Both victims are between 25 and 30 years old, he said, adding that the gunmen fled southbound on Main Street in a dark vehicle. No further details about the number of assailants or descriptions were immediately available.

Anyone with information on the gunmen was urged to call the LAPD’ Southeast Division at (213) 972-7828. All tips can be made anonymously.
