A person was wounded, although not seriously, in a shooting in the Vermont Square section of South Los Angeles Wednesday.
The shooting was reported about 5:15 p.m. in the 1100 block of West 45th Street, near Budlong Avenue, said Officer Matthew Ludwig of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
The male victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of a non-life- threatening injury, Ludwig said.
Shell casings were visible in the street, according to a witness at the scene.
