Police asked the public’s help Friday to find a 24- year-old woman who went missing a week ago in Hollywood.
Mariela Alcantar was last seen about 9 a.m. last Friday in the 5000 block of Virginia Avenue, according to Los Angeles Police. Her family told authorities they haven’t heard from her since that day.
Alcantar is Hispanic, with brown hair and brown eyes. She stands 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and black leggings.
Anyone with information on Alcantar’s whereabouts was asked to call LAPD’s Missing Persons Unit Detective A. Mercado at (213) 996-1800. Tipsters can also call 911 or the LAPD’s 24-hour tipline at (877) 527-3247. All tips can be made anonymously.
