A hoverboard was the cause of a house fire Sunday in Van Nuys.
The fire was reported on the 15000 block of Martha Street of a single-story home around 10 p.m. Firefighters knocked down the fire in 10 minutes.
It was later determined that the cause of the fire was a hoverboard in one of the bedrooms, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
No one was injured.
Hoverboards are popular self-describing scooters. However, the boards have made headlines recently for reportedly catching on fire.
