Jeffrey Lee Thomas, 53, of Palmdale was convicted Aug. 13 of two counts of lewd act upon a child and one count of continuous sexual abuse.
The charges involve 8- and 13-year-old girls, according to Deputy District Attorney Scott Yang.
Thomas began abusing the girls soon after beginning a relationship with their mother, according to witness testimony.
He was charged after the youngest girl told a medical professional what had happened, according to the prosecutor.
Thomas was arrested in June 2014 and has remained behind bars since then, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Inmate Information Center website.
Thomas was previously convicted in 2002 of two counts of lewd act upon a child and one count of forcible lewd act upon a child, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
