A woman was stabbed at a Jack-In-The-Box restaurant in the Westlake district during an argument, and the man who attacked her remained at-large Tuesday morning, police said.
The assault with a deadly weapon took place at the Jack-In-The-Box in the 1900 block of West Sixth Street about 8:30 p.m. Monday, said Los Angeles Police Lt. Craig Heredia, the Rampart Division watch commander.
“There was some kind of dispute which turned violent,” Heredia said. “The suspect pulled something sharp out which we believed to be a knife and stabbed the woman.”
The woman was transported to a hospital for treatment and was listed in stable condition this morning, he said.
The suspect ran away from the restaurant after the stabbing. Heredia said. He was described as an older white male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall.
Heredia said detectives were hoping the attack was captured on security video at the restaurant.
