A man filled his backpack with liquor and left a Trader Joe’s market in Cheviot Hills Tuesday without paying for it, police said.
The robbery occurred at 12:45 p.m. in the 10700 block of National Boulevard, near Westwood Boulevard, police said.
The suspect loaded the backpack and left without paying. When store employees confronted him, he threatened them with a knife, police said.
The suspect was descried as a Hispanic man with black hair in a ponytail, a beard with a mustache, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
He was wearing a dark sweater, dark shorts, and gray and black tennis shoes.
