A woman was shot and wounded in South Los Angeles Friday afternoon.
The victim was found after gunfire was reported about 4:45 p.m. in the area of Vermont and Florence avenues, said Officer Matt Ludwig of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
The woman, who was in stable condition, was taken to a hospital for treatment, Ludwig said.
A description of the shooting suspect, who remained outstanding, was not immediately available.
