Isn’t Social Security enough?

A 62-year-old man allegedly connected by DNA evidence to a series of residential burglaries in Rolling Hills was arrested in Torrance by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies.

Charles Vaca was nabbed about 4:40 p.m. Thursday by deputies from the sheriff’s Lomita Station, according to the department. He’s being held on $1.05 million bail, according to county jail records. No court date for his arraignment has been set.

Vaca is a transient with ties to Torrance, Redondo Beach and Harbor City.

Vaca has a history of lying about his true identity when stopped by law enforcement and uses the alias “Ryan Baca,” sheriff’s officials said.

Anyone with information about Vaca’s alleged criminal activities was asked to call the sheriff’s Lomita Station at (310) 539-1661.
