Two male teenagers were wounded early Sunday morning in Palmdale at the scene of a large party in an industrial section of town.

Someone called authorities at 12:13 a.m. and reported gunfire in the area of 20th Street East and Avenue Q, according to Lt. Ken Wright of the sheriff’s Palmdale Station.

Two males could be heard screaming in the background, Wright said.

Deputies got to the scene in eight minutes and saw vehicles hurriedly leaving the location. They were directed by witnesses to several vehicles but stops turned up nothing, the lieutenant said.

One victim was located in a dirt field and a second at a hospital. One had a lower leg gunshot wound and the other was struck in an arm, Wright said.

The victims are 16 and 17 years old, and neither suffered life- threatening injuries, he said.

Suspect information was not immediately available, and Wright said it was not immediately clear if the shooting was gang-related.
