A fire damaged an apartment building in Wilmington Monday, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters sent to the two-story building in the 500 block of North Bayview Avenue about 12:25 p.m. extinguished the flames in around 15 minutes, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A search of the building determined that no one was trapped inside as was initially feared. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
