A man who was killed in a Long Beach shooting that left three others wounded was identified Tuesday while the other victims remained hospitalized.

Delhaun Jackson, 19, of Long Beach, died in the shooting that occurred at 8:43 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of East 17th Street, according to Long Beach police.

Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene, Long Beach police Lt. Paul Baum said. The shooter remained at large, and no description of the suspect was available. There was also no word on a possible motive for the attack.

“The men were shot on the street,” Baum said. “We don’t know what happened or if it was gang-related at this point.”

A Gofundme.com page described Jackson as “a kind-hearted gentleman that cared for anyone,” and a father to a year-old son, Joshua.

One of the other shooting victims was in very critical condition, and the other two were in serious but stable condition, according to Baum.

Police said they were collecting surveillance video from around the scene in hopes of capturing images of the shooting.
