Investigators sought the public’s help Friday to find a 39-year-old man suspected of fatally shooting his live-in girlfriend during an argument at their home in east Hollywood.
Officers were sent to the 500 block of North Virgil Avenue about 6 a.m. on April 12 to investigate a report of a Department Officer Liliana Preciado.
The victim was later identified as Lauren Olguin and her boyfriend, as Philip Policarpio.
“During the argument the suspect punched the victim as he held a gun in his other hand,” according to an LAPD statement. “The suspect then shot the victim and left the location, possibly in a vehicle.”
Policarpio is Filipino, about 5 feet 8 and 180 pounds. He has a tattoo on his chest that reads, “Only God Can Judge Me” and wears glasses. He drives a red BMW 325i sedan with the license plate 7NBY245.
Police say Policarpio should be considered armed and extremely dangerous. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts was urged to call Rampart Division homicide detectives at (213) 484-3642. After-hours and weekend calls should be directed to (877) LAPD-24-7. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS. All tips can be submitted anonymously.
