A 40-year-old man riding a motorcycle was fatally struck by a vehicle on Pacific Coast Highway in the Malibu area, the California Highway Patrol reported Friday.
The collision occurred on northbound PCH near Topanga Canyon Boulevard just before 8:30 p.m. Thursday, CHP Officer Patrick Kimball said.
The man died at the scene, Kimball said. His name was withheld pending family notification.
The other driver stopped at the scene and was not cited or arrested, Kimball said.
The crash shut down the northbound lanes of PCH and a SigAlert was declared at 9:31 p.m., according to Kimball. The road was cleared at 1:18 a.m. today, and the SigAlert cancelled one minute later.
