Two men were shot and left for dead on Compton streets in separate incidents that were under investigation Sunday by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies.
The first occurred at 5:20 p.m. Saturday when a man in his 20s was shot multiple times in the torso as he rote a bicycle in the 400 block of West Caldwell Street.
When deputies arrived, the man lying in the middle of the street. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.
The second shooting was approximately two hours later. A dark, four-door sedan passed by the victim as he was walking in the 1000 block of South Nestor Avenue. One passenger exited the vehicle and fired several times at the man, striking him multiple times.
The victim, belied to be in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
