Authorities Wednesday identified a woman who was fatally injured when struck by a Los Angeles-bound Metrolink train in Claremont.
The fatality involving Train 317 on the San Bernardino Line occurred about 8:50 a.m. Tuesday at the Cambridge Avenue crossing.
Deashanique Miller, 24, whose home town was not known, died at the scene, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter. The case was reported as a possible suicide, he said, adding that an autopsy was pending.
No injuries were reported on the train, which had 175 passengers on board and was stopped at the location for more than an hour until cleared to continue to its destination.
