The FBI and Los Angeles Police Department assisted in the service of a state-issued search warrant Friday in Van Nuys, but the nature of the investigation was not immediately disclosed.

Around 7 a.m. Friday, an FBI Special Weapons and Tactics unit was visible at the location in the 15500 block of LeMay Street, just west of the San Diego (405) Freeway in Van Nuys.

A bureau spokeswoman confirmed that an FBI SWAT unit was used during the operation, which was conducted along with LAPD officers and an undisclosed state agency.

Broadcast reports showed a sniper on a roof and a drone in use at the location.
