Police were searching Friday for the killers of two people who were fatally shot in Tarzana after a drug deal went bad in Woodland Hills.

“Something happened at that transaction, an altercation and shooting occurred. The suspects began chasing the victims,” LAPD Detective Richard Wheeler told reporters at the scene.

“The suspects fired additional shots into that car and then reached it, and removed money, got back in his vehicle and fled the location.”

A report from the scene showed a crashed dark-colored sedan between two parked cars.

The victims were found just before 4 p.m. Thursday in the 6100 block of Corbin Avenue, about three blocks south of Victory Boulevard, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Tony Im.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to a hospital, Im said. The second victim later died at the hospital, according to police.
