An overhead power line toppled overnight along the Gold Line from Los Angeles to Pasadena, threatening to delay passengers by at least 20 to 30 minutes during Monday’s morning commute, Metro said.
The damage is between the Highland Park Station at 151 North Avenue 57 in Los Angeles and the Allen Station at 395 North Allen Ave. in Pasadena, said Metro Operations Manager Armando Jimenez.
Trains are running on one track and that service is being augmented by bus shuttles between the two stations — a service that may continue through the morning commute, Jimenez said. There are trains every 7-8 minutes during the morning commute.
Jimenez did not know what caused the line to fall but it happened at about 8 p.m. Sunday.
Crews from Metro are performing the repairs, Jimenez said.
