Pomona Police responding to a report of shots fired found a weapon and 20 pounds crystal methamphetamine, authorities said Monday.
Officers arrived at 11:48 p.m. Sunday at an apartment in the 2300 block of North Towne Avenue, said Pomona Police Corporal Richard Martinez. The officers made contact with the residents of the apartment where the shots were fired, he said.
“During a search of the home, officers located a .22-caliber pistol and approximately 20 pounds of crystal methamphetamine,” he said.
Officers arrested Jose Real Velazquez on suspicion of possession of narcotics, possession of a firearm with narcotics, discharge of a firearm and possessing an unregistered firearm, Martinez said.
