While it wasn’t a daughter slashing her dad in the neck as police originally reported, a younger woman was nevertheless in custody Friday on suspicion of slashing her older “ex” in the neck in South Los Angeles.
The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police reported.
The attack occurred about 9:15 p.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of West 64th Street, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Starrquisha Glover, 26, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, and was held on $1 million bail, said Officer Aareon Jefferson.
The injured man, who’s in his 50s, was hospitalized in stable condition. His name was not released. He and Glover were formerly in a romantic relationship, Jefferson said.
Police initially reported that the suspect was the victim’s daughter, but determined that was not the case. It wasn’t clear why the official mix up occurred, nor if the age difference had led to the father-daughter incorrect assumption.
