Brock Bunge, 51, of Lancaster was taken into custody and booked on suspicion of attempted murder and robbery, with bail set at $50,000, the sheriff’s department reported.

The incident began late Thursday, when deputies went to a home in the 2100 block of West Ave. K-12 on a domestic disturbance call from a woman.

“The female victim stated she had an argument with her ex-boyfriend, suspect Brock Bunge … and he left the scene prior to the responding deputies’ arrival,” according to a sheriff’s statement. “A short time later, suspect Bunge returned to the same house with a firearm and shot at his ex-girlfriend’s house, then drove away.”

Investigators then learned that Bunge was involved in a two-vehicle crash on 90th Street West, just north of Avenue K.

“The victims reported that the suspect pointed a shotgun at them as they initially attempted to render aid at the scene of the traffic collision,” according to the sheriff’s statement. “It was later determined that the other party in the collision was also assaulted by the suspect and had his cellphone and other personal property taken from him.”

The suspect was tracked to the West Ave K-12 address, and SWAT deputies and a crisis negotiation team eventually took the suspect into custody Friday morning.
