Police asked for the public’s help Friday to identify a man suspected of stealing liquor from a store in Glendale.
The theft took place about 5:35 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 28, at a CVS Pharmacy at 2037 Verdugo Blvd., according to Glendale City spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.
According to Glendale police, the suspect loaded up his backpack with bottles of vodka and whiskey and also carried one bottle of liquor in his hand as he attempted to leave the store.
That bottle set off the theft sensor and the suspect acted like he forgot he was carrying the bottle, which he left at the door before fleeing the scene in a white SUV.
The suspect was described as white and in his 30s, according to police. He stood between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall.
He had a medium build, blond hair that was shaved in the back and on the sides with a small ponytail on top of his head. He was also wearing black glasses.
Anyone with information on the suspect’s identity was asked to call the Glendale police at (818) 548-4911.
