A Valinda man was sentenced Thursday to 35 years in prison for lewd acts with three girls over a 15-year span.
Raymond Mario Juarez Jr., 65, was also ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Juarez pleaded guilty Sept. 14 to four counts of committing a forcible lewd act on a child and one count of committing a lewd act on a child involving children who were family members by marriage, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Authorities launched an investigation after a woman reported that her underage daughter told her in January that Juarez had sexually molested her when she was 4 years old, according to Deputy District Attorney Babette Huley.
Authorities subsequently learned about the other two girls, who were 6 and 8 at the time of the crimes, the prosecutor said.
Juarez, who was arrested Feb. 15, is not expected to be eligible for parole until he is 93 years old, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
