Los Angeles firefighters hoisted two hikers to safety Saturday in Runyan Canyon Park in the Hollywood Hills, authorities said.
The man and woman were reported at 4:39 p.m. to be stranded on difficult terrain but not injured, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
Firefighters on land hoisted the pair to safety with ropes while helicopters remained on standby, Humphrey said.
Park Rangers returned them to their vehicle, he said.
