Police used K-9 dogs to catch an armed man who fled from a marijuana dispensary to a construction site at the University of Southern California Saturday, authorities said.
It started about 8:15 p.m., when someone at a marijuana dispensary called police to report a man inside mentioned he had a gun, Lt. Chuck Springer of the Los Angeles Police Department‘s Southwest Station said.
Officers attempted to contact the man, but he ran away and a perimeter was set up around a USC construction site, Springer said.
The man was taken into custody about 10 p.m. when a police K-9 located him, the lieutenant said.
The suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment of a minor dog bite to one leg. A firearm was recovered.
