A man accused in the shooting death of another man in Lancaster surrendered Friday and was booked on suspicion of murder.

Mario Jose Estrada, 25, had been sought since Thursday morning, when the 35-year-old victim was found mortally wounded about 6:10 a.m. near Nicobar and Division streets. The man’s name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.

Early this morning, Estrada, accompanied by several family members, turned himself in at the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station. He was booked on suspicion of murder and was held on $2 million bail.

Authorities named Estrada as a suspect in the crime before he turned himself in, but did not provide a motive for the crime.
