At least six vehicles were involved in a fiery, racing-related crash on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway near Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Downey early Friday morning.
The California Highway Patrol counted 15 vehicles at the scene, with at least six involved in collisions and one pickup truck on fire. On person was taken to a local hospital.
A white Dodge Charger was reported fleeing the scene, though the vehicle may have returned.
The northbound 605 was closed for an unknown duration for clean up.
