Glendale police Thursday circulated security camera images of a man sought in the theft of three FedEx envelopes containing replacement credit cards from a residential front porch.
The crime occurred about 10:30 a.m. March 9 in the 1600 block of Randall Street, said Tahnee Lightfoot of the Glendale Police Department.
“The victim received a message on his phone that his surveillance camera was activated due to motion on his front porch,” Lightfoot said.
“The suspect can be heard talking to another male on the phone telling him, `There are only FedEx envelopes. There are three,”‘ Lightfoot said. “The male on the phone states, `Yeah, I know, that’s perfect. That’s exactly what I needed.”‘
The suspect then walked back to a silver car parked in front of the residence with the envelopes in hand, Lightfoot said.
“Two days prior, the victim’s wallet was taken from his vehicle and the envelope contained replacement credit cards,” Lightfoot said. “It is unknown if the two incidents or the involved suspects are related at this time.”
The suspect on the porch was described as Hispanic, in his 50s, medium height, weighing 200-225 pounds, and he wore glasses. His vehicle was described as a silver hatchback, possibly a Toyota Prius.
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call police at (818) 548-4911.
